Bungay Folly Studio Bed and Breakfast is a pretty and comfortable private home just outside of Bungay, an ancient market town in Suffolk.
Set on top of a hill overlooking the Waveney Valley with the most beautiful views at any time of the year. Stretching for miles in the distance. A little bit of heaven, with the valley flooding in the winter time when the swans use it for their own lake and in the summertime when the cows meander across the lush green meadows. Breakfast is served overlooking this peaceful scene.
We offer a large conservatory for relaxing, delicious breakfasts and a real home from home.
Enjoy the charming garden and an interesting courtyard. We serve a full English breakfast with homemade jams, marmalades and freshly made coffee or tea. Or, we can provide you with a substantial Continental breakfast with fresh fruit.
Easy access for the elderly.
Across the fields, we can see the Bath Hills, a sheltered shady spot where once there were vineyards owned by the local Lords. There is the Angles Way, a footpath by the River Waveney and the Little Ouse that weaves in and out of Suffolk and Norfolk. A total of 93 miles of walk across open countryside and a haven for walkers, whether a short stroll or a serious hike, there is a something for everyone.
Just 10 minutes by car to Beccles we have the pretty Broads Marina. In The Saints you can visit St. Peters Hall, a historic building where they brew their own beer and in Bungay itself, we have the 13th century Bigod Castle and the domed Buttercross. This quiet area of England is all within minutes of Bungay Folly Studio Bed and Breakfast.
Cyclists: There is safe, secure lock-up for your bikes.
"The Folly Studio" - Ann's tiny, pretty art studio is in a secret courtyard garden. Lots of art for sale and if you feel like painting do join in! Tuition can also be arranged with Ann if you wish.
